This was drawn for my housemate Blanca's awesome blog Dungeons and Drawings, and it is awesome, she does most of the images but occasionally will have a guestweek when others are allowed to join in. Here's mine, it's like some kind of giant killer-sloth-cat thing.

I have a habit of drawing a cat when I open photoshop, no matter what I'm working on. The amount of cats I've drawn could probably circle the moon TWICE and back again. But I never saved them, so from now on, no matter how terrible some may be, I shall save and post.

PARADE TV

As I was on my jollys around the UK with Parade, I filmed pretty much every moment they weren't sleeping... but they did sleep a lot... and created a little tv show called Parade TV. I animated the titles, inbetween bits and edited it all together. Lovely.

JOIN THE PARADE

I've been working with girlband Parade for a while now - made a few things for them, but these are the coolest...

To start with I created some flyers for them to distribute whilst they went on tour with boyband The Wanted

But it was decided that I should actually go on tour with them to help distribute said flyers (and film lots of footage, but more on that later) however this is what mainly happened

ANYWAY, to co-incide with that I create a range of limited edition tshirts for the fans to buy, this is what they looked like

and here's one of the group with the printed tee...

NOT ONLY THAT I made a short video for them to come on stage to every night whilst on tour, it was just edited together, but we seen by many thousands of screaming teenage girls each night, nice.

INSIDE SBTV

I was asked to do some animations for a new series to be shown on Channel 4. This was Inside SBTV: From Bedroom to Boardroom, about the growth of internet-based urban musician launch-pad show SBTV (now there's a mouthful).

I created two or three animations for each show and there were five shows which you can watch HERE on 4OD. I will put them up individually for you to watch soon and they're in my showreel.

MP! FANZINE

We played around with the idea of a fanzine for Oh My! then as a site (maximumpop) thought it'd be a great idea to launch our own. Initially I started out with a design for a more poster-based fanzine, but after some discussions with the team we came up with creating something that was more like a little Smash Hits.

Working fully together on a magazine project was great, as I'd never done anything properly like that before and I think with having someone to write and edit the copy, then my design being worked around that was a really nice way of working.

The fanzine is 12 pages long, here are some examples:

MP!TV

At maximumpop I went off to go and interview some popstars, filmed and edited the videos. There's a few of them on this channel: MP!TV

The T4 presenters quiz.

Absolutely lovely band Cover Drive perform for us.

We've met Cover Drive before as teentoday, we made them feed some ducks (they've never fed ducks before!)

SIXD

I made some videos for now-failed pop group Six D. They were dropped... but the videos are still here, woo.

This one was made for VEVO and their very, very specific guidelines... at least I have them stored in my head now.

OH MY!

We've been working with this band for a bit and used them basically to start out new ideas for promo within the industry. Step forward the Fanzine - an old idea brought into the modern day. To be handed out at gigs and gives you facts, quizzes and comps to do with the band. How fun.

MAXIMUM POP!

I always feel bad for never updating this thing andit is generally because I am too busy but then I looked through what work I'd done and there wasn't much to show... hahaha. Oh well.

FIRST THINGS FIRST

I made a website...

This is maximumpop! and I spent a long time designing it, especially because it was my first proper web design, but anyway, this is what it looked like in photoshop.

Everything that you see I designed, which is pretty cool, and it has some really great features, even if I do say so myself...

Article styles that are in-built so the user just needs to put an image in.

Individual tag heads that take you to more about the artist, look this is what happens when you roll over them

HELLO.

Ok, I found some stuff I've been working on recently, you can have a sneak peak, hooray.

Mailers have been ruling the roost (they're basically newsletters that are emails for those who don't know) and there's millions of amazing ones out there. Here's a couple I've designed for our clients - they're quite bright and jolly, but they need to match each clients branding and colours so that explains that...








As well as that I edited together this nice video for the Oh My ladies:

I've done some other stuff too, yeah, interview some people and go to see advance screenings of films... it's a hard life... Oh and also I went to the Natural History Museum on Monday to do some drawing but I don't have my sketchbook on me now so images coming soon. Woot.

BUSY.

I forgot about this blog, sorry, I am so busy. Always working. This is me:

I don't really know WHAT I've been doing, bits and pieces here and there but I'm going to get back into drawing again (after seeing the glorious Lion King today of course) so let's go!

I'M BACK!

I've been too busy lately - the first news is that teentoday (I may have mentioned them) have moved into and office so now I work from Soho, woo hoo. I'm looking at a pub right now. Other than that I'm still doing bits and pieces for them, including writing the "amazing" mailer that goes out on a Friday. Here's some artwork... haha...

Here's the header for the mailer, it changes every week but generally has the same teentoday style.

We've been going to different events too - photographing it, then sticking this banner across the photos!

As well as that, Mike from the office has gone on tour with mew girlband Oh My, and he's filming everything that happens on the way. This was made for the youtube videos - an ident to go at the start, it has animated elements that run throughout the videos.
